The leaders in 3D Animation and VFX , Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) hosted the 16th 24FPS International Animation Awards 2018 on 17 December at the Sahara Star in Mumbai.


The 24FPS International Animation Awards of MAAC holds a position of repute in the Media and Entertainment Industry that honours the brightest talents in the field of Animation, VFX & Live action film-making across the globe. Held every year, the 24FPS International Animation Awards are a unique platform for film-making using the medium of 3D Animation, Live Action and Visual Effects (VFX). The Awards are open to students,professionals and studios from across the world.

MAAC 24 FPS is a marque property of MAAC and is the most prestigious Awards function for animation & visual effects segment across the Indian sub-continent and beyond. Held every year since its inception in 2003, the MAAC 24 FPS International Awards function is a springboard to showcase talent & has grown from strength to strength.

Untold story mountain

Mountains, first. Lovers, second. I remember the first time I was travelling to North India, my brother said to me, "you'll go crazy when you get to see 'em snow clad mountains". I was like, " OKAY, whatever that means🙄", my mind unable to absorb it at that time. The first time I saw snow mountains, I was flying above them. From my window seat, all I could see was a vast stretch of what looked like white and grey elevations and dents in the earth. Clouds hovered above them, making them look like some sort of an inaccessible paradise. As we kept descending, they kept becoming mightier. And along with that, more and more real. I remember wanting to know what it would feel like to be in their presence. The second time I saw them, we were chasing them in a car. Passes, forests and rivers, all guiding us towards them.
